FFH Management Services

The Brief

The Building Consultancy was appointed to design and project manage the fit-out of FFH Management Services’ new HQ at 2 Grand Parade, Dublin 6.

The Execution

The fit-out was completed over a 10-week period.

The Result

The defining feature of the new space is the captivating view of Dublin it affords, and the guiding principle behind the design was to celebrate this. Each aspect provides a rich tapestry of landscape and cityscape, from which the design references were drawn. The design pulls inspiration from each elevation; the rooftops of the city to the West, punctuated by the domed, patinated copper roof of Rathmines Church, the Dublin mountains hugging the South-West backdrop, and the Victorian Redbrick houses enclosing the textured treetops of Darthmouth Square to the East. Each of these references informs the curved forms that shape the space, and both the natural and refined colour and texture palettes, with a focus on sustainability.

Teams can choose to convene in spaces catering to a variety of needs, from a relaxed lounge room for small informal meetings, to a flexible conference room catering to training groups, and more traditional meeting spaces in between. For external visitors, a private hoteling office provides a base they can call their own while travelling, which can also double up as a place of calm and respite for any member of staff seeking a momentary retreat from the busy neighbourhoods. The visitor waiting area, nestled between the hotelling office and executive boardroom and office, also offers flexibility of use, with each space drawing upon the design intent to reflect and revere the scenery beyond.
